The problem
The problem was found for health conscious people looking for a solution that helps them to save their time and improve their health. The major issues were noticed that customise diet chart and track weight history. Many users are looking for an affordable customised diet chart in which they can log their food items and calculate their calories to achieve their fitness goal. To fulfil these user needs this application is designed to provide the best solutions to all the users. It will help them to customise their diet chart according to their activity levels and any specific dietary requirements to gain, lose and maintain their weight.
The Solution
The solution is a user-friendly diet planner application that provides customised diet charts, tracks calories, and monitors progress. It integrates with a smart scale for weight tracking and offers both automated and manual data entry for flexibility. The application is developed using the design thinking iterative approach, which includes five main components: Empathise, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test. This non-linear process ensures a solution-focused approach to problem-solving. The app was first built using Balsamiq, and delivered as a high-fidelity prototype in Figma.
Timeline: 12 Weeks
The Result
The result is a comprehensive diet chart application that caters to a wide range of user
needs and preferences. It provides a dynamic weekly diet chart based on user’s tracked
activities and allows users to manually enter their weight. The application also offers
features like calorie burn count monitoring, personalised diet charts, and timely
notifications for diet plan adherence.
The software will
continue to evolve based on ongoing user feedback and iterations, it
will be a useful tool for encouraging wellness and health in the future. Recommendations for
future improvements were identified through testing, including personalised coaching and
support, meal planning and recipe suggestions, a community feature, a sleep tracker, and
gamification.
